The Swiss Mission would like to inform you that the Diplomatic Security Brigade (BSD) has recently received reports of fraudulent telephone calls from people posing as false police officers and requesting identity or bank details under the pretext of an ongoing investigation.
The Police of Geneva warns against this type of fraud and advises you to immediately stop the telephone conversation and not to communicate any personal or banking details.
The Swiss Mission also points out that the website of the National Centre for Cyber Security (NCSC) lists all cyber threats and provides practical information on the risks of fraud. Incidents can be reported directly on its website.
